Summer drifts along its lazy aimless path
Heading for an autumn tete a tete
Summer drifts along its lazy aimless path
Stunning days like these feel so sedate
To stop the clock, slow down time
Heading for an autumn tete a tete
Calm, then rain, now sun. So sublime
Yet hearts are heavy, troubled
To stop the clock, slow down time
A moment such as this to pause lifes struggle
Flowers, bees, butterflies a peaceful afternoon
Yet a heart so heavy, troubled
Sitting in my city parkland lush cocoon
Time keeps rolling, the world outside is calling
Flowers, bees, butterflies a peaceful afternoon
At last my spirits are soaring
Summer drifts along its lazy aimless path
Time keeps rolling, the world outside is calling
Summer drifts along its lazy aimless path
Still a little! behind on this challenge but today a poem inspired by NaPoWriMo challenge for April 2015 – Day 16 “And now for our (as always, optional) prompt! Today, I challenge you to write in the form known as the terzanelle. A hybrid of the villanelle and terza rima, terzanelles consist of five three-line stanzas and a concluding quatrain.”
